I’m a 16-year-old male from Germany, and I’ve been addicted to benzodiazepines since I’m 14.

I started to consume drugs at the age of 12 because of some serious issues in my life.

In 2018 my family, i.e. my father, my mother and my two younger siblings died in a car accident I somehow managed to survive. Since then, I’ve been living with my grandmother because she’s the only one who was still in contact with my family.

Because I couldn’t stand all the pain anymore, I looked for things to compensate for it. I hooked up with fake people and so I started using drugs with them.

Years later I’m still in the scene and I don’t know how to get out of here. I’ve been addicted to benzodiazepines for 2 1/2 years now and I notice how I’m destroying myself with the time.

What I’m saying is, if you’re experiencing something tragic and you don’t know how to deal with it, seek proper professional help, not drugs. Because at the end of the story, substances are only there to hide your pain. But it stays and gets even stronger.
